Welcome back, it’s been a while since I’ve written a Shokugeki No Someday review and I thought it would be important to give you an update on the show since it ended. The first episode ended with the entire Gourmet Office staff going on a strike. This was actually what inspired me to write this since it gave me the inspiration to create this article. In the first episode the characters were not on strike, they were actually having a meeting to figure out what orders the restaurant had that needed to be completed before the end of the month. This is the start of the third season, which means that I will be reviewing Shokugeki No Someday episodes for you in coming months.
Episode two dealt with the Gourmet Office taking charge of the orders: that need to be filled for the month. As a result, chef Kazuma gets firing. Riko is forced to take over the kitchen and as expected her first order is to bring back the soup. While trying to clear out the soup station, Riko realizes that the soup has been taken off the menu. As a result of this she decides that she will have to make do without the soup.
Just when you think the tension may go away: the restaurant will be vandalized again. While cleaning up the scene, Riko overhears a conversation between the Order Surgeon and his assistant. The surgeon tries to convince the assistant to tell the chef to add more soup to the menu. In the midst of this conflict the chef manages to sabotage the order.
Back at the office the chefs are trying their best to keep the customers happy: They all seem to be on edge because of what just occurred. They don’t want to lose the business. They also realize that the soup station is closing. One of the chefs offers to take responsibility for the soup but Shokugeki no Soma informs them that soup isn’t allowed in the restaurant. The chef tries to convince them otherwise, but they won’t budge.
A dish that is too delicious for the Japanese people is served to them ramen: The poor ramen is considered the national dish and every student who goes to college is expected to learn some Japanese techniques such as this. Meanwhile the Order Surgeon has come to clean the place up after it is vandalized.
The third episode of the fourth season is now available to watch on Crunchyroll: This time it is called, “Shokugeki No Soma.” The first half hour is devoted to the story. It includes the chef’s attempts to correct the situation, the Shokugeki no Soma tournament, and the delicious ramen.
